MSG Marsh found Whelen equipment in the middle of the desert in the United Arab Emirates (UAE),
located on the eastern border with Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf.


MSG Marsh has returned to active duty, he is currently stationed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE),
located on the eastern border with Saudi Arabia and the Persian Gulf.


Melissa Guarnieri is currently serving in Iraq as part of the 118th Medical BN based out of Newington.


Roy Seidell has been racing and serving in the Massachusetts Air National Guard for over 30 years.
Roy served in Operation Iraqi Freedom, and he runs the 104th Fighter Wing.

WELCOME HOME SEAN WEED!

SSG Sean Weed, of the 1109th AVCRAD Unit based out of Groton, recently returned home. He has been serving our country at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait since Feb. 2003. Sean visited SMS on September 12, 2003 with his nephew.

Kent's name was sent into Stafford Speedway by the #19 Kenny Horton Late Model team. Kent was an electrician at Pasquariello Electric Corp. Kent currently serves as a seargent with the 143rd M.P. Company - Connecticut National Guard based out of Brainard Field in Hartford. Kent has since returned home home with the rest
of the Connecticut National Guard's 143rd Military Police Company Unit.

Currently serving in Iraq somewhere west of Baghdad. It's been 5 weeks since the last time we heard from him. He celebrated his 19th birthday on June 19th of this year. He completed his "OSUT" (One Station Unit Training) as a tank crew member at Fort Knox, Ky. on December 19th of 2002. He reported to his duty station at Fort Stewart, Georgia on January 14th of this year and left for Iraq on January 21st. He's currently serving as part of the forces that are trying to maintain some type of order within Iraq. We hope to have him back home sometime in August. Hi, I am writing this email from Camp Arifjan, Kuwait to say hi to all the Stafford Speedway staff, competitors and fans. I would like to thank everyone for supporting the troops. We are all in the 1109th AVCRAD, which is an Army National Guard Aviation Unit based out of Groton, CT. We visit the Stafford Speedway web site as often as we can to keep up with the new news. We also plan on trying to listen to the Friday night shows on yahoo broadcast.com. Again, thank you for the support, we are hoping to be home in time to enjoy some of the 2003 season.
