(Stafford Springs, CT)—Fresh off the completion of the 2015 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season, Stafford Speedway officials remain hard at work on the rules for the upcoming 2016 season. The track has already released its 2016 rules for its premier SK Modified® division along with the Late Model rules and now the track has released its 2016 SK Light Modified rulebook. The 2016 SK Light Modified rules has a single rule change from the 2015 season with several clarifications and adjustments.
The single rule rule change from the 2015 season deals with the Carburetor Adaptor plate. Per rule 20E-5.10.4, the Big Haus USA #001 adapter plate must be used. The adapter plate will be available through Stafford Speedway.
The clarifications and adjustments to the SK Light rules are as follows:
Per rule 20E-5 General Engine Requirements, the maximum overbore for the GM Performance Factory Sealed Circle Track Crate Engine will be .030”.
Per Rule 20E-5A, the Crate Engine “A” option is a standard factory bore engine
Per Rule 20E-5B, the Crate Engine “B” option is from a .020” overbore up to a .030” overbore.
Per rule 20E-6.1, as an option, a digital MSD #8727CT limiter set at 6,000RPM may be used.
