Ron Narducci wins the modified feature while Stafford was still a dirt track. It was Narducci’s 3rd of 9 career modified wins at Stafford, all coming on dirt. It was Narducci’s one and only feature win of the 1961 season.
Ed Flemke won the modified feature and Gary Ryan won the Late Model Sportsman feature. Flemke’s win was his second win of the 1973 season following his win in the Spring Sizzler® and he would win twice more in 1973 for a total of 4 wins. Flemke’s win was his the 17th of his 23 career modified wins at Stafford. Ryan’s feature win was his second of three wins during the 1973 season and it marked the 11th of his 28 career Late Model Sportsman feature wins at Stafford to go along with a single SK Modified® win in 1983.
May 19, 1978 was a night of track champions in victory lane. Geoff Bodine won the modified feature, Tom Rosati won the Late Model Sportsman feature, and Dave Fisck won the Street Stock feature. Bodine’s win was his 2nd of 12 wins that he would record in 1978 on his way to his second consecutive track championship and it was the 19th of his 34 career modified feature wins at Stafford. Rosati’s win was his 2nd of 10 wins in 1978 on his way to back to back track championships and it was the 12th of his 20 career LM Sportsman feature wins at Stafford along with 12 ProStock wins. Fisck’s win was his only win of the 1978 season but he carried on to record his second consecutive track championship. It was the 6th of Fisck’s 8 career Stafford wins.
Anthony Nocella won the VMRS 80, Chase Dowling won the SK Modified® feature, Kevin Gambacorta won the Late Model feature, George Nocera, Jr. won the SK Light feature, Jeremy Lavoie won the Limited Late Model feature, and Zack Robinson won the DARE Stock feature. Nocella’s win is the only Stafford win of his career and it was one of 5 wins he recorded in 2017 on his way to winning the VMRS championship. Dowling’s victory was his second of 4 wins in 2017 and it was the 3rd of his 6 career SK Modified® wins to go along with 7 SK Light and 1 VMRS win at Stafford. Gambacorta’s victory was his only win of the 2017 season and it was the 3rd of his 6 career Late Model wins at Stafford along with with 8 Limited Late Model wins and 3 DARE Stock wins. Nocera’s feature win was his first of 2 career SK Light feature wins at Stafford along with 10 Limited Late Model wins and 3 DARE Stock wins for a total of 15. Lavoie’s win was his first Limited Late Model feature win after scoring 5 career DARE Stocks wins. Lavoie has since gone on to win 14 more Limited Late Model feature events and 2 championships. Robinson’s feature win was the second of 3 wins in 2017 and it was the 5th of his 11 career wins.
