Charlie Jarzombek won the modified feature and T. Cobb won the Late Model Tigers feature. Jarzombek’s win was the first of 9 career Stafford Modified feature wins along with 1 Modified Tour win while Cobb’s win was his only Stafford victory.
Ray Hendrick won a 100-lap National Championship feature and Frankie Edwards won the Late Model Sportsman feature. Hendrick’s win was the only Stafford victory of his career while Edwards’ win was his first of 3 career Stafford wins and was one of 2 wins during the 1970 season.
Richie Evans wins the 5th Annual Spring Sizzler®. It was the first of 2 wins in 1976 for Evans and it was his 3rd of 37 career modified wins at Stafford.
Richie Evans won the Manchester Oil Heat 100 modified feature and Jim Ward won the Street Stock feature. Evans’ win was his fourth of 10 wins in 1980 and it was the 18th of his 37 career Stafford modified victories. Ward’s win was his 3rd of 10 wins in 1980 and it was 7th of his 22 career Street Stock wins. Both Evans and Ward went on to become track champions in 1980.
Mike Stefanik won the Winston 100 modified feature, Wayne Dion won the SK Modified® feature, and Phil Rondeau won the Street Stock feature. Stefanik’s win was his only win of the 1986 season and he won the final weekly modified track championship at Stafford to go along with his Late Model Sportsman track title in 1979. The win was Stefanik’s only weekly modified feature win at Stafford to go along with 20 Whelen Modified Tour wins, 11 Late Model Sportsman wins, and 2 Busch North feature wins for a total of 34 Stafford victories. Dion’s feature win was his first of 3 wins in 1986 and it was the 2nd of his 4 career Stafford wins. Rondeau’s win was his 2nd and final win of 1986 and it was his 2nd and final Street STock win at Stafford to go along with 10 wins and 3 track championships in the Late Model division.
Jimmy Broderick won the SK Modified® feature, Matt Bushior was declared the ProStock feature winner when Dave Etheridge was disqualified for illegal A-frames, Tom Butler won the Late Model feature, and Jose Rodriguez was declared the DARE Stock feature winner when Gary Spinnato was disqualified for illegal chassis modifications. Broderick’s win was his 3rd of 6 wins in 1997 that carried him to the track championship and the New England Regional championship and it was his 7th of 11 career Stafford wins. Bushior’s win was his only win of 1997 and it was the only win of his Stafford career. Butler’s win was his 2nd of 4 wins in 1997 and it was his 6th of 25 career Late Model wins at Stafford. Rodriguez’s win was his first of 2 in 1997 and it was the first of his 10 career DARE Stock feature wins.
Jerry Marquis won the HAYNES 150 Whelen Modified Tour feature, Johnny Lobo, Jr. won the SK Modified® feature, Craig Collins won theLate Model feature, and Kevin Gambacorta won the Late Model feature. In the last chance qualifying races, Lloyd Agor won the SK Modified® 21 Means 21 feature and P.J. Zarrella won the Late Model 16 feature. Marquis’ feature win was his first of 2 in 2003 and it was his 2nd of 4 career Whelen Modified Tour wins at Stafford. Lobo’s feature win was the only win of his Stafford career. Collins’ feature win was his only win of 2003 and it was his 2nd of 4 career Late Model feature wins. Gambacorta’s feature win was his first of 2 wins in 2003 and it was also his first career win at Stafford. Gambacorta has since notched 3 DARE Stock, 8 Limited Late Model, and 6 late Model wins and counting.
Bo Gunning won the SK Modified® feature, Ryan Posocco won the Late Model feature, Mark Bakaj won the SK Light feature, Rob Dow and Andrew Durand each won Limited Late Model features, and Dan Flannery won the DARE Stock feature. Gunning’s feature win was his only win of 2008 and it also marked the 47th and final SK Modified® win of his Stafford career. Posocco’s win was his 1st of 7 wins in 2008 that carried him to the track championship and it was the 29th of his 45 career Late Model wins at Stafford. Bakaj’s win was his 1st of 4 wins in 2008 and it was the first of his 8 career SK light feature wins to date at Stafford. Dow’s feature win was his 1st of 2 wins in 2008 and was the 2nd of his 6 career Limited Late Model wins. Durand’s feature win was his 1st of 3 wins in 2008 and it was his 17th of 26 career Limited Late Model wins at Stafford. Flannery’s win was his 1st of 2 wins in 2008 and it was the 4th of his 5 career DARE Stock wins.
