“Doug does a lot for our sport and this special event has turned into something special,” explained John Rufrano of Wheelers Auto Service. “We wanted to get involved and wanted to keep pushing these purses up. We put up an additional $2,000 and applied it across all 5 of Stafford’s Weekly divisions, $400 for each. Looking forward to another great night at Stafford.”
In its 2nd year, Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair Modifiedz Night puts the SK Light Modified division in primetime, doubling their feature length from the weekly 20 laps to 40 and increasing the purse to just over $10,000. With the Wheelers Auto bonus the SK Light Modified division will race for an impressive $10,615 in posted awards.
New for 2018, Doug Dunleavy has moved to double the winners purse for the other 4 Stafford weekly divisions. Paired with the Wheelers Bonus and Stafford’s weekly contingency partners the total posted awards for the May 25th Dunleavy’s Modifiedz night will be over $35,000 across all 5 Stafford divisions. Total payouts include the already announced $10,690 SK Light purse, $11,385 for the SK Modifieds®, $6,800 for the Late Models (including $1,750 to win), $3,980 for the Limited Late Models, and $2,110 for the Street Stocks. This promises to be an event you won’t want to miss.
Dunleavy’s Modifiedz Night will be capped off with a multimedia Fireworks display in honor of memorial day. Tickets are just $18.50 for adults, $5 for kids 6-14, and as always 5 & under free. General admission gates are set to open at 5:15 pm, qualifying races beginning at 6:15 pm, with feature racing scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm. See full event info here.
