60 Greatest Modified Drivers of All-Time: Ron Silk
Silk was named as one of the Whelen Modified Tour’s 40 greatest drivers on the strength of 2 Tour championships (2011, 2023) and his current total of 30 career wins, which for now places him 8th place on the all-time list, 1 win behind Jeff Fuller. Silk’s Stafford career has seen him win the NAPA Spring Sizzler® twice (2023, 2024) and the NAPA Fall Final twice (2022, 2025) along with 4 SK Modified® wins from 2002-2005.
Silk’s Sizzler® victories are part of his three Open Modified wins at Stafford and he has also won 3 WMT races at Stafford. In addition to his Stafford victories, Silk has also found victory lane at other tracks in Connecticut as well as around the Northeast.
