(Stafford Springs, CT)—When the SK Modified® and SK Light divisions take to the track this Friday night, June 27th, for the Midstate Site Development Street Stock 30, with fireworks to close out the night, drivers will be racing for some extra cash. Thanks to Gary Rice Shop Equipment, the newest partner of the track’s Contingency Program, added bonuses are now on the line.
- $150 bonus to the SK Modified® feature winner
- $125 bonus to the SK Light feature winner
These bonuses will be awarded this Friday night and at every event for the rest of the 2025 season.
“I just love racing, I’ve always been into it, and Stafford is a great track,” said Gary Rice, owner of Gary Rice Shop Equipment. “I grew up circle track racing with my father back in the day. We ran Pro-4’s, Late Models, and ProStocks and I used to help Rollie Lindblad when he was racing. Now I sponsor Meg Fuller at Stafford and Derek Ramstrom at Thompson. We’re getting pretty well known around the Northeast and this is a great opportunity for us to do a little advertising and get our name out there even further while helping drivers out with some extra money.”
Through 5 events thus far in 2025, Stafford’s SK Modified® division has seen 3 different winners with Michael Christopher, Jr. and Keith Rocco each notching 2 wins while Jon Puleo has a single victory to his name. Stafford’s SK Lights have been dominated in 2025 by Nickolas Hovey, who has won 4 times in 6 events. Brian Sullivan and Chris Matthews are the other two drivers who have reached NAPA Victory Lane in the SK Light division this season.
