(Stafford Springs, CT)— Stafford Speedway hosted the NAPA Fall Final on Saturday, September 27th with its SK Modifieds® and SK Lights joining the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series in feature action. Keith Rocco picked up his third win of the season in the 40-lap SK Modified® feature and Robert Bloxsom used a crossover pass for the lead coming to the white flag to pick up the win in the 20-lap SK Light Invitational.
In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, Andrew Molleur took the lead from polesitter Todd Owen on the opening lap of the race with Alexander Pearl taking third and Michael Gervais, Jr. fourth. David Arute settled into line in fifth place just in front of Keith Rocco, Marcello Rufrano, and Anthony Flannery.
Pearl took second place from Molleur on lap-5 and then made a move to the inside of Owen on lap-6. Pearl completed the pass on lap-7 to take over the lead. Owen fell back to second with Gervais in third, Rocco in fourth, and Rufrano in fifth.
Rocco went by Gervais to move into second place on lap-10 with Rufrano taking third. Gervais fell back to fourth with Molleur fifth and Owen in sixth. With 15 laps complete the order was Pearl followed by Rocco, Rufrano, Molleur, and Owen. Rufrano was hounding Rocco for second place and he was able to make a move on lap-17 to take second. Michael Christopher, Jr. was able to get by Owen to move into fifth place as Pearl continued to lead Rufrano and Rocco with 20 laps complete.
With 10 laps to go it was still Pearl holding a comfortable lead over Rufrano with Rocco, Christopher, and Molleur making up the top-5. Mikey Flynn was up to sixth with Cory DiMatteo, Owen, Troy Talman, and Max Zachem rounding out the top-10. The caution came out with 33 laps complete for Arute who spun at the end of the backstretch going into turn 3.
Pearl took the lead on the restart with Rocco taking second from Rufrano. Molleur and Rufrano were now wheel to wheel for third with Christopher in fifth and Flynn in sixth. Rufrano won the battle with Molleur for third on lap-36 while Rocco was glued to the back bumper of Pearl in the fight for the lead. Rocco made his move to the inside of Pearl on lap-37 going into turn 3 and he took the race lead. Rufrano was now third with Christopher in fourth and Flynn in fifth.
Rocco led Pearl to the checkered flag to pick up his third win of the 2025 season. Christopher finished third with Rufrano and Flynn rounding out the top-5.
Sept. 27 SK Modified® Feature Results
In the 20-lap SK Light Invitational feature, Zach Aszklar and Daltin McCarthy went wheel to wheel for the lead on the opening lap with Aszklar emerging in the lead on lap-2. McCarthy settled into second with Ben Morrison and Tyler Barry wheel to wheel behind him fighting for third.
Joey Ferrigno did a half spin in turn 2 on lap-5 but kept going. McCarthy then had a bobble coming out of turn 4 on the same lap but McCarthy was able to save the car from going around and he lost several positions getting into line in seventh place. Morrison developed a flat tire, which sent him into the turn 4 wall and brought the caution flag out with 7 laps complete.
Aszklar took the lead on the restart but Robert Bloxsom was applying heavy pressure to Aszklar as was Barry but the caution came out for Austin Goff, who came to a stop in turn 4.
David Webb did a 360 spin in the middle of the pack on the restart but he kept moving without any other cars hitting him and the race stayed green with Aszklar in the lead and Bloxsom in second. Matt Brewer was side by side with Barry for third place with Ron Midford, Jr. up to fifth.
With 4 laps to go, Aszklar was still in the lead but behind him Midford and Bloxsom were side by side for second and Brewer and Barry were side by side for fourth. Dylan Houghton spun in turn 4 to bring the caution flag back out and slow the action.
Bloxsom took the lead from Aszklar after a lap of side by side racing with Aszklar retaking the lead on lap-19. Bloxsom made a crossover move on Aszklar to retake the lead as they rumbled out of turn 4 and headed towards the white flag. Bloxsom held Aszklar off to the checkered flag to win the SK Light Invitational. Brewer finished third with Barry and Kevin Davis rounding out the top-5.
