(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway returned to racing on Friday, June 26th with the rescheduled Lu-Mac’s Package Store / WTD Logistics LLM 30, the biggest purse paying Limited Late Model race in Stafford history along with the regularly scheduled Midstate Site Development Street Stock 30, the biggest and richest Street Stock race of the season. Jeremy Lavoie notched his first win of the 2026 season in the Lu-Mac’s / WTD LLM 30 which was worth $1,875 in purse and contingency bonuses while Ryan Waterman continued his white hot start to the 2026 season with his fifth win in seven races that was worth $800 in purse and contingency money. Other winners on the night were Keith Rocco for the second time in 2026 in the SK Modified® feature, Chris Meyer took down his second win of the 2026 season in the Late Model feature event, and Nick Anglace used a last lap pass to score his fourth win of the 2026 season.
In the Lu-Mac’s Package Store / WTD Logistics LLM 30 feature, Devon Jencik brought the field to the green flag and he took the early race lead ahead of Gary Patnode, Jeremy Lavoie, Conor Jencik, and Aaron Plemons. Patnode was all over the back bumper of Devon Jencik and he was able to take over the lead on lap-3. Lavoie followed him through to take second and drop Devon Jencik back to third, just in front of his brother Conor Jencik in fourth.
Plemons was starting to slide backwards and he fell all the way back to tenth place as Jason Lafayette moved up to fifth, Travis Hydar sixth, RJ Surdell seventh, Norm Root eighth, and Rich Hammann ninth. With the race hitting the halfway point, Patnode was still in command out front with Lavoie, Devon Jencik, Hydar, Lafayette, Hammann, Surdell, Root, Conor Jencik, and Matthew Winter, II making up the top-10 runners.
Hydar made a move to the inside of Devon Jencik on lap-18 to move into third and his pass allowed Lafayette to follow him through to take fourth place and drop Jencik back to fifth. Winter took eight place from Root on lap-20 while Patnode continued to lead the race with Lavoie giving chase from second.
With 5 laps to go, both Lavoie and Hydar had caught up to Patnode and were both looking to make a pass. Lavoie took the lead from Patnode on lap-26 with Hydar taking second to drop Patnode back to third. Lafayette was now right behind Patnode to make a 4-car train fighting for the lead in the closing laps.
Hydar made a last lap bid for the lead but made contact with Lavoie which gave Hydar a flat tire and allowed Lafayette to get by him at the line for second place as Lavoie scored his first win of the 2026 season in the richest Limited Late Model feature ever held at Stafford. Lafayette finished second with Hydar, Patnode, and Hammann rounding out the top-5.

In the Midstate Site Development Street Stock 30 feature, PJ Evans led the field to the green flag and he took the early lead. Scott Sundeen was second with Bill Cote, Jason Raymond, and Brent Gleason making up the top-5. Garrett Pease spun in turn 2 to bring the caution flag out with 2 laps complete.
Evans again took the lead on the restart with Cote moving into second. Gleason moved up to third with Ryan Waterman streaking into fourth and Brandon Warren up to fifth. Jason Raymond was sixth followed by Mike Caprio, Sundeen, Kolton Gambacorta, and Marvin Minkler.
Gleason slid back to sixth on lap-8 as Waterman took third and opened the door for Warren to take fourth and Raymond fifth. Raymond spun going into turn 1 to bring the caution flag back out with 11 laps complete.
Waterman took the lead on the restart with Gleason taking second. Cote was third with Gambacorta up to fourth and Evans back to fifth. David Ciastko spun in turn 2 to bring the caution flag back out with 13 laps complete.
Waterman took the lead back under green with Gleason giving chase from second place. Cote was still third with Evans up a spot to fourth and Mike Caprio fifth. Warren was sixth followed by Gambacorta, Jake Caprio, Sundeen, and Joe Arena. Roger Mahieu spun in turn 4 to bring the caution flag out with 17 laps complete.
Waterman and Gleason again were the top-2 cars back under green with Cote and Mike Caprio behind them. Gambacorta and Warren touched going wheel to wheel for fifth place on lap-19 with Warren getting sideways and falling back several spots to ninth place as Evans was now fifth with Sundeen sixth, Arena seventh, and Gambacorta eighth. The caution came back out with 23 laps complete for a spin in turn 1 by Chayton Young.
Waterman took the lead on the restart with Cote taking second. Evans was third with Gleason fourth and Gambacorta fifth. Evans took second from Cote on lap-27 and that move allowed Gleason to pull alongside and then pass Cote to take third and drop Cote back to fourth. Gambacorta was now looking to take fifth from Cote on lap-28 but Mike Caprio went 3-wide in turn 4 and passed both cars to move into fourth and drop Gambacorta to fifth and Cote sixth.
Waterman cruised to the checkered flag to pick up his fifth win of the 2026 season. Evans finished second with Gleason, Mike Caprio, and Gambacorta rounding out the top-5.

In the 40-lap SK Modified® feature, Mikey Flynn took the early lead at the green flag with Dylan Izzo and Wesley Prucker going wheel to wheel for second. Izzo took second on lap-2 and Anthony Flannery took third on lap-3. Prucker was now side by side with Todd Owen for fourth with Keith Rocco lurking right behind them in sixth place.
David Arute took sixth from Prucker on lap-6 while Izzo was looking for a way around Flynn for the race lead. Izzo made his move on lap-7 and he took over the lead. Flannery followed him by to move into second with Rocco taking third to drop Flynn from the lead back to fourth place. Owen was fifth with Arute right behind him in sixth. Troy Talman was seventh with Jon Puleo eighth, Glen Reen ninth, and Alexander Pearl tenth.
Flannery made a move to the inside of Izzo on lap-10 to take over the race lead but that was short lived as Rocco took the lead from Flannery on the very next lap. Flynn was now back up to third with Izzo to his outside and Owen behind him. Marcello Rufrano came to a stop in turn 4 to bring the caution flag out with 14 laps complete.
Rocco streaked back into the lead on the restart with Flynn back up to second. Izzo was third in line with Flannery fourth and Owen fifth. With 25 laps complete Rocco was still in command with Izzo, Flynn, Owen, Talman, Flannery, Tyler Chapman, Michael Christopher, Jr., Puleo, and Arute making up the top-10. Arute and Andrew Molleur spun on the backstretch to bring the caution back out with 28 laps complete.
Rocco took the lead with Izzo all over his back bumper in second on the restart. Flynn was third with Talman up to fourth and Chapman up to fifth. Owen got back by Chapman for fifth place while Rocco had stretched out his lead over Izzo to several car lengths with 5 laps left to go in the race.
Rocco led Izzo to the checkered flag to pick up his second win of the 2026 season. Flynn finished third with Talman and Owen rounding out the top-5.

In the 30-lap Late Model feature, Paul Varricchio, Jr. took the lead at the green flag to set the early race pace out front. Wayne Coury, Jr. quickly took second at the start and then charged into the lead on lap-2. Behind Coury, Adam Gray and Varricchio were door to door for second with Michael Bennett and Chris Meyer door to door for fourth place. Varricchio spun in the middle of turns 3+4 to bring the caution flag out with 6 laps complete. Bennett was sent to the rear of the field for making contact with Varricchio.
Coury took the lead on the restart with Chris Buffone moving into second. Josh Wood took third with Meyer in fourth and Kevin Gambacorta fifth with Gray just behind him in sixth. This was still the running order with 10 laps complete. As the cars hit the halfway point of the race it was still Coury in command with Buffone in second. Meyer was applying heavy pressure to Wood for third and he was able to make the pass on lap-16. Wood fell back several spots to sixth place as Gambacorta took fourth and Gray took fifth.
Coury’s car dropped off the pace on lap-18 with a trail of smoke coming from underneath his car and he slowly made his way to pit road, done for the evening. Coury’s misfortune handed the race lead over to Buffone who now had Meyer all over his back bumper looking to take the lead. Gambacorta was third with Gray fourth, Wood fifth, and Varricchio was back up to sixth following his early race spin.
Meyer was finally able to make a move to the inside of Buffone and he took over the race lead on lap-26. Gambacorta followed him through to move into second and drop Buffone back to third place. Gray was still running fourth with Varricchio fifth. Meyer held Gambacorta off to the checkered flag to pick up his second win of the 2026 season. Buffone finished third with Gray and Varricchio rounding out the top-5.

In the 20-lap SK Light feature, Casey Vogt powered into the lead at the start with Bob Charland taking second. A multi-car incident in turn 3 involving the cars of Sami Anderson, Anthony Forino, Cassandra Cole, John Brunelle, Ava Lombardo, Stephen Kalogiannis, Kyle Pinkham, and Frank L’Etoile, Jr. brought the caution flag out with 1 lap complete.
Vogt and Charland went wheel to wheel on the restart for the lead with Nick Anglace and Peter Bennett side by side behind them. Vogt got clear into the lead on lap-4 with Anglace taking second behind him. Bennett was now wheel to wheel with Charland for fourth with Matt Brewer up to fifth. Anglace nearly took the lead from Vogt on lap-5 but Vogt was able to fend off his challenge. Anglace took to the high groove on lap-6 and the two leaders crossed the stripe in a dead heat for the lead before Anglace took the lead on lap-7. Bennett was now second behind Anglace with Vogt third, Charland fourth and Brewer fifth. Several cars spun in turn 1 including Forino, Connor Christmas, and Joey Ferrigno to bring the caution flag back out with 8 laps complete.
Bennett took the lead on the restart with Anglace glued to his back bumper in second. Vogt and Charland were side by side for third with Tyler Barry and Brewer right behind them. Anglace made a move to the inside of Bennett on lap-11 but wasn’t able to complete the pass for the lead. Another multi-car incident in turn 2 involving Paul Arcari, Anderson, Aiden D’Agata, Forino, Cole, Travis Downey, Norm Sears, and Lombardo brought the caution flag back out with 11 laps complete.
Bennett and Anglace resumed their wheel to wheel duel for the lead back under green with Vogt third, Barry fourth and the side by side duo of Charland and Ben Morrison fighting for fifth. Morrison spun in the middle of turn 3, which collected the car of Amanda West and brought the caution flag back out with 14 laps complete.
Bennett took the lead back under green with Barry taking second to drop Anglace back to third. Vogt was fourth with Daltin McCarthy side by side with Jason Finkbein for fifth place. Finkbein won the duel with McCarthy for fifth place with Anglace starting to apply some heavy pressure to Bennett for the lead with 2 laps to go. Anglace was able to make a last lap pass and beat Bennett back to the start/finish line by a half car length to score his fourth win of the 2026 season. Barry finished third with Vogt and Finkbein rounding out the top-5.
